"I Love my Ball, My Bouncy Ball"

Kourt got a bouncy ball maker kit so Kourt, Sophia and I decided to make them last week. I kept singing that song from Dora, actually Boots is singing it..."I love my ball, my bouncy ball, I love my ball, ball ,ball, ball, ball, ball..." I had it stuck in my head all day and now it's back.
I'm typing ball but pronouncing it bawl. My northern accent at it's best.
So anyway, I highly recommend the bouncy ball maker kit. It was a lot of fun and it's a nice gift. Not hard but certainly not for younger ones. If Kourt were younger I can definitely see her trying to eat one of these.
She took a bite out of a red bath oil ball when she was smaller, she thought it was the apple from Snow White....lol, she will never do that again!
You get lots of pretty color packets which look like colored sugar, three ball molds and a base. In the middle of the base, there is a cup that you fill with water. You pour the pretty colored "sugar" in the mold and then insert the mold into the cup of water. You are supposed to time it so it isn't too soft or too hard. If they are too soft, when you remove them to dry, one side will get flat. Can't have a flat bouncy ball, can you? The molds are round, shell shaped and octagon shape.
The girls and I got everything set up. They chose their molds and went to work. The work part consisted of putting different colors in the mold to make a rainbow ball. After about two balls they hightailed it out of there and went back to playing dolls.
Flat leavers... So now I was on my own.....I think they came out nice, not all round but hey what can you do. I didn't time them in the water so when they were drying some got a little flat on one side..they still work, they just bounce to the left or the right, lol.
Here are some of our creations.

I love how kids sometimes leave you to finish crafts you're doing for them!
